Cartridge Quiz: Who can ID this one?

The cartridge on the left for size comaprision is a .45-70 Govt. What's on the right?

Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.

It is a cold formed 8 (ish) mm parent case with a 6mm bullet.
The crimp is used for headspacing.

Just a guess. I know less about this stuff than anyone else but thought might try.

It is an 8mm bullet allright. Not 6 mm.

Bingo... the seating die was screwed in too low, hence the shoulder collapsed completely.. Not paying attention while loading 8x60S ammo... :cheers:
