Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.

Does anyone remember the books in Isaac Asimov's sci fi story "The fun they had". The words moved across the screen and you kept your head/eyes still!

I re met the story again a few years ago, when as a grown up, I was adding volumes to my Asimov collection. I think it appears in ?Martian chronicles.
