Bathinda to Kanpur - All Facts

Hi Guys, here I am posting all the information for getting delivery of .32 Revolver from kanpur.
I received my letter from FGK on 12/5/10 . My delivery date for Revolver was 18/6/10.
The first thing I did was booked my train tickets, as following
Bathinda to Delhi - 2482 Intercity Exp - Dep. 08:30 Arvl. 13:40 on 17/6/10
travel on Delhi metro to reach New Delhi Railway Station
New Delhi to Kanpur - 2034 NDLS CNB Shatabadi - Dep. 16:00 Arvl. 20:50 on 17/6/10
Kanpur to New Delhi - 2033 CNB NDLS Shatabadi - Dep. 06:00 Arrvl. 11:05 on 19/6/10
travel on auto from new delhi to Purani Delhi station, Auto Rent - Rs 100 ( Arms not allowed in Metro)
Delhi to Bathinda - 2481 Intercity Exp - Dep. 13:10 Arvl. 18:25

This was a three day process

Then I applied for NOC in the ADC office LPA branch Bathinda
Here are all the docs for applying NOC at suvidha center

Fees = RS 200

After getting your NOC , contact Mr. RAM SINGH at Kanpur for making TL and all other things like booking hotel and your transfers from station and to FGK etc. Mobile No = 09305080641, 09889536397

Ram Singh is very nice and helpful guy , I was picked from station on time and was transfered to my Hotel Gagandeep already booked for me. Here I will like to tell you guys that there is big electricity problem in kanpur, this hotel service are good and do not turn off AC even on generators. Rent for one day AC Double Bed room was RS 1500.Next day the Ram singh's guy took us from the hotel to the District Megistrate office to get my TL and then to FGK at 11:00 am. I got my Revolver at about 12:30. Then went to Meston Road market to buy ammunition and other accessories. Next day same person came to hotel to take us to railway station.

Do not purchase anything from SAI ARMS he is a big cheat. ( my exp)

please tell me whether personal appearance before dm Kanpur is necessary, or local agent will do that
as i m going to Kanpur next month, i have booked my train tickets like, i will be reaching there night before delivery date and reporting time given by them is 8.30 to 11.30 am in morning. my departure is in evening 4.00pm of delivery date. or i have to change my arrangement

hi there, thanks for appreciation, you have not mentioned ,if u have hired a agent there or not.
If u had already hired a agent and had send them e important documents for your TL then till 10:30am u can get your TL by going with them to DM office which is in between your way to FGK . You should enter before 11:30am and be free at 1:30pm and you could definate catch your train at 4.

Hello Friends, enough is said about in this post but I would like to share my experience. Taking cue from this post I contacted Mr. Ram Singh for TL and sent him the required papers (NOC, copy of arms license, Copy of ID proof, one passport size photograph and copy of call letter). Surely the TL was ready before my reaching at Kanpur. Ram Singh charged Rs 2000/- for his services but I come to know that this is negotiable and some agents are preparing TL even for Rs 1500/-. I advised the potential visitors to reach Kanpur in the morning and this way you can save Rs 2000/- otherwise required to be spend as a hotel room rent. SAF start accepting documents at 8.30 AM and last batch they admit at 2.30 PM. it is around 2 hour process, so not to worry even you miss the morning batches. Overall I had nice experience.
