last week here in assam moran sivasagar district a teenager was arrested with a bag by the police, there were total 6 boys 5 with their bags escaped and one was caught.. see the images below what they found only in one bag

Some years ago, Wild boar and Chital venison was easily available outside Rajaji National park, at the local butchers. Either it was a major con job, or the real thing, go figger.
These chaps seem to be adding to their protein intake

Look like egrets. Yes these must have been for the pot since they are eaten only by a few and not very saleable.

As Yaj says,they are egrets and they seemed to have used catapults to kill them.Most likely a case of pot hunting/poaching.

thanks eljefe, yaj and vikram ...1 or 2 seems ok to me but my question is .is it okay to hunt these birds in such a huge scale

The law thinks not even one is OK.They cannot be hunted and anyone killing them is committing a crime.Period.

This is neither Hunting nor Business.
This is POVERTY.
The poor village kids forced to kill egrets for the pot , simply because they can not afford Mutton at Rs 200 a Kg or chicken at half that rate.
There are places (in India) where you will find the poor folks eating rats.
