Re: Blueing
Looks lovely Doc. Congratulations.
But can you tell us why did you put engine oil first ? Any old reason ?
Also, is the final finish as blue as you expected ?

Re: Blueing
Thanks Dr.Jk, I have also found some more good products on this site. But does any one have experience on purchase from this site. As it says that I would have to clear it from the 'customs'. I want to know the process and hassles involved in releasing the product from customs, if somebody knows about this aspect.dr.jayakumar wrote: aadhaulya,

Re: Blueing
Now Sir, could please tell me about 'cold rust blueing' that you mention.dr.jayakumar wrote:This is how it looks after assembling.aadhaula what i have done is slow rust bluing, not cold bluing.cold bluing is done easily polish, degrease apply the bluing solution and oil.

Also I have found the cold blueing stuff on 'Ballistol.in' hence no issue regarding customs. A 50ml bottle of Klever (quick blueing) for Rs 1550.
I think I ask too many questions but please excuse me as I am very new to all this wonderful world of guns.
