Steyr Sportwaffen, the company that makes Steyr sporting rifles is owned by Anschutz these days. Anschutz owned 51% after a takeover in 2001 or 2002 and recently the owner of the remaining percantage of shares sold his stake to Anschutz.

Could you verify this. The figure of 51% is correct though.
As far as I know, Steyr split into Steyr Sportwaffen and Steyr Mannlicher, the former only makes air-rifles and air-pistols, whilst the latter only makes firearms. Unless, there has been a very recent change - as in the last few months.
