A love letter from AI (via PM).

Posts that don't fit into any other category. If it's anything to do with guns, it probably doesn't belong here!

A love letter from AI (via PM).

Post by Mack The Knife » Sun Sep 14, 2008 6:50 pm

Someone's really got his panties in a twist now. :mrgreen:

Mr. Mack the knife,

The reason I did not respond to your schoolboy bully type challenges was to avoid having you lose face in your forum. It was quite easy for me to actually point out the contradictions in your own post as you had asked, and still can, but the purpose of that thread would seem even more lost then.

Obviously you do not have enough grey matter to understand the issue that was at hand- I'll repeat- to avoid threats and consequently enhance compliance to rules/change of track by the offender, and to avoid public humiliation even when a member has to go. Is that still too difficult to understand, or should I start a new thread on lessons for enhancing your IQ? I can speak your language, and better than you if it serves the purpose.

By the way, just to prove that there is validity in what I was after, here is a PM from a prominent member. If you like, I can ask his permission and you can contact him directly thereafter.

"Having said that, I am making contact with you only because I find you the sanest to discuss this with. I dont see any more objective in trying to correct someone who will not. There are ways to discuss with those who dont want to see the other side of the coin, and if both sides dont see, then it is a total waste of time and will only create more fiction.
I am no big peace maker, but want you to know that you have a valid point, but it is not always the best to hit the iron when it is hot Sometimes, when things cool down, people are more receptive. Its like two entangled hooks being pulled in opposite directions. The hooks will not break and will remain entangled. Sometimes, it is best to leave it free, and when they loosen their hold, a small nudge at the right time will free them both
I hope you understand ... "

Suggestion till my face turns blue- is that you quit trying to be a dictator and deriving sadistic pleasure. Grow up.

Dear AI,
You are obviously a cone head if this is what you have written to Mack The Knife. You don't know what kinda material Mack The Knife is made of. To give you a very small introduction, the intellect of nearly a dozen IFGians, who might consider themselves 'veterans' may not equal the intellect of Mack The Knife. His composure, patience, teachings and above all his no-nonsense attitude even with his fellow acquaintances deserves a huge pat on the back because that is what keeps the IFG forum running and healthy. He is a man who goes out of his way and sometimes at probable loss to himself to help the newbies or other shooting sport / angling enthusiasts.

The trouble is that people like you start comparing themselves with a person like him and when ideas don't converge, they start bull-shitting and spitting venom. You will eventually see what other IFGians have to say about your outbursts.

Don't forget that he is a Moderator for IFG. It is like saying that he is the Principal of the school. So it does not matter how much you dislike him, if you want to remain in the school, it will be you who will need to fall in line or walk out of the door.

My advice is that you stop spitting around here and try to be a learner and take advantage of IFG with respect to information, views and experiences of the various members. If you don't like anybody's sayings, just ignore it and move on. Please don't waste other member's time and breath on thinking and replying to your silly baying.

We have seen this repeated over and over again.

A fellow comes to the forum,gangs up with another member and tries to take on a moderator.Will start airing 'ideas' about how the forum should be run.Will start posting about how other members are in agreement with him that he is being shabbily treated.Will talk about rules being different for moderators. Then will either leave in a huff or will get himself banned.This is invariably followed by him/her trying to circumvent the ban by registering under another user ID

Ok now,
AI cut it, as you can see, members are really getting sick of it. I know I am no one to say anything to you but please, finish it. IFG is a place where people come to learn meet new people and have fun. The rules and very clear and simple if someone wishes not to adhere to them they could go join another forum as this is a private forum, run by a man with a passion for guns and the least we members can do is adhere to the rules. As wrong as you may think the rule(s) are, you cannot change them. You have given your suggestion thats it. Let Abhijit and the other mod's take it from there.

B.B. left on his own will and as Mack The Knife said, he can comeback when he wishes.

Regards.

AI, verbal incontinence is a dangerous disease eh'. Well it seems you're the one afflicted chronically by the same. Whether you like suggestions or not, I don't give a fish. I'll tell you this, you too have knowledge to share and experiences to relate. Don't make this a power struggle. Instead try and get involved in the forum PRODUCTIVELY.

You seem intent on CHANGING all systems, but I don't see you having any intention of changing yourself (even when everybody is trying to put an end to this, you seem hell bent on carrying on),get a life man. With all due respect, you may be a highly qualified coach in your sphere, that doesn't negate or humble the achievements of others. The forum has been run very effectively over the years, the number of its members is proof enough. Most of us have spoken,met,shot-together,fished blah blahity blah. So, questioning the intent of the mods or the members on different aspects merely serves to show your ignorance or disdain of the guidelines. Either of which is unacceptable. Since your are so knowledgeable and logical, draw your conclusions and try and democratically add up the opinions and voices that are telling you to stop acting up. That'd give you the picture, but if it still doesnt, have fun :D and god bless.

Naah Rusty, BP's fine. The HOPS is kicking in so I was also wondering what the abbreviation stands for.

AI = Artificial Intelligence
AI = Antagonistic Insouciance
AI = Asinine Impudence

Sorry for going OT :P .

Okay chaps, it's back to the General Ramblings section as AI still feels he has a lot to say. :roll: May as well let him get it out of his system once and for all. ;)

Mr. Mack the knife,

Regardless of what the multitudes might say, the issues I raised remain, and so long as even one member has called them valid, what others say could not in the least bit affect me. Again, I could respond to each of the post, but that serves no constructive purpose. I must say one thing though that I have never asked for rules to be changed, but wanted just what is specified. I fail to understand still why all except two (not counting BB) haven't understood that. Probably they worship the wrong God as it seems!

It is not entirely clear what you mean by the last post about the sort of response you wanted to generate, but if that purpose was anything constructive, you should have taken that direction at the outset. It isnt that you've never apologized or eased off earlier with other members you've been rough with. As a leader (moderator/principal) that onus of giving direction to the posts was yours. By the way, you still haven't denied that the two objectives I sought are correct and valid! Please do so or denounce them.

I request you to post this, and give your intent of posting as well.

ai

Thanks Mr. Mack the knife. I still don't see your verdict on the two points! May we have them first (and not leave that to come from others), or do you become non-judgemental on Sundays?
