Another option to consider is having a set custom made. If you know a woodworker you could try making a pattern, possibly by using some thin pieces of wood and then use an auto body putty to shape them how you'd like, then have teh woodworker use them as a pattern to make some wood ones.

The Webley name was bought by AGS (Air Gun Sports) and they have come back into the market with a few air-rifle models). No Tempest or Hurricane to speak of yet but even if they should reintroduce it, I personally would opt for the HW45 because of it's trigger and the fact that both fore and rear sights are fixed to the same part.

Not sure what M.E. the Hurricane generates but my Tempest seems to half the power of the 45.

I just love your idea of plinking away at the office. Don't bother bringing it back to India though. There are quite a few semi-auto plastic BB pistols and rifles with the hop-up mechanism available now.

It's a possibility, Mark but I think I'll opt for an after-market version because I don't want to spend too much time on making one.

I am also not look for a full blown target grip - something a little thicker and with a thumbrest should be adequate.

Barring one, I never made a pellet trap. Since that departed for pellet trap Valhala sometime last year, I haven't bothered to make another and simply stuff a shoe box with my wife's fashion magazines. Stops .22lr as well.

I have been to Al sayed,but same thing ,no latest guns available,,the prices of accesories are also very high. Yesterday in Qatar i saw a electronic boresighter,but it was very expensive-550dhms(6600 INR)is it worth that much?

Can't believe that anyone has thought of a more creative usage for womens' fashion magazines than using them as a backstop. Can't think of anything more appropriate either and would gladly add mens' fashion mags to the list. Those are the glossy -not-even-good-as-a@#ewipe-paper rags that praise morons like Daniel Craig and Rosie O' Donnell.

I would buy an air pistol if the bloody pellets weren't as expensive as they are! Just ordered some for Inder and the price made me do a double take. I could shoot several rounds of trap or buy several boxes of 22 lr rimfire ammunition for the price of a can of pellets. The US is not a country for airgunners on costs alone, unfortunately.

If it is for a bolt action rifle, I wouldn't bother. The old tried tested method of bore-sighting whilst looking through the bore and adjusting the scope has always got me on paper with the first shot.

However, if it is for a rifle that cannot be bore sighted and the ammo for which is hard to find and/or very expensive, then the expense is justified.

Remember that a bore sighter will only get you on paper. The final zeroing will have to be done the traditional way.

Perhaps this bore-sighter you mention is something special but you can get cheap BSA branded bore-sighters and the like quite easily off the net if they are not available in Qatar.

To shoot at 55 yards, the HW 45 needs two complete turns of the elevation (rear sight) screw anti-clock-wise, but that's for the .177 cal. (4.5mm) version and WOLF Gold 5.63 grains pellets. Yes, these are that lightweight. They are made in Britain by L. J. Cammell Ltd., Merseyside, L46 4TT, England (U.K.). They fly flat at 55 yards because they stabilize at 25-30 yards. Shot at 10 meters (33 feet) they stink! Rubbish. But, try them out at 50m and they group marvelously.

This is something you must put up as a sticky on this web site and forum: airgun shooting requires a lot of testing with different pellets until the ideal one is found to work at an intended distance. I have tried 34 different pellets on my HW 45 and have found only the RWS Nobel R10 7.0 grains and 8.2 to work well in 10m pistol shooting. The 7.0 grains on the HW 45 and the 8.2 grains on my MAS 50 and Walther LP 53.

As for the hold:

Keep the thumb away from the grip. Leave it in the air. Hold the grip mainly with the middle finger. The other fingers are there just for the ride. They are not supposed to hold the grip. The middle finger holds the grip, alone.

Now, the trigger finger is placed on the trigger blade so as to squeeze BACKWARDS, never sideways. Think of it as this: Imagine that there is a thread attached to the front sight (foresight), which runs directly to your trigger finger...When shooring the air pistol imagine that you are squeezing this thread BACKWARDS lightly but firmly (keeping the foresight on the target you want to hit) as if you are afraid it may break! SQUEEZE the trigger BACKWARDS.

Don't pull; don't jerk; don't squeeze SIDEWAYS (your first attempt on the first pictures you posted reveal a sideways pull! Cut off the bad habit... Squeeze until the shot breaks backwards.

Try it.

Then, if you wish, show us the results and I will tell you what you are doing, exactly, although you shoot a .22 cal. version of the HW 45 and I shoot the .177 cal. on HIGH power setting. The LOW power makes the HW 45 diesel a lot, although it is tamer to shoot it that way, for youngsters/youth-oriented shooters, maybe.
