Thanks Mack The Knife,
i have stored them on my Pc.
what is the use of hammer in this pistol?can u post the pic. in diffrent actions like cocked, loading, open slide, magzine, when ever u get time.

Yes here i could not find many shops, only 2-3 shops that too dont have gud stuff ,Only holsters, cleaning Kits, break barrel Air guns only.
Day by day they are discouraging sale of airguns/pistols here.
Once in front of me an arabic kid was demanding an air pistol but shop owner didnt even showed it to him & replied that v r not allowed to sell it to minors. But i am not sure that its sale has been completly banned.
Presently I am in Doha Qatar,,Can not find any thing usefull here also.

Rahul,

Keeping my fingers crossed for a hassle free customs clearance.

I will PM you my phone numbers. Please do drop by when you are in Bangalore. Hopefully, I would have figured out how to shoot the 45 a little more consistently by then.

Badshah,

The light is fading and I have no one to catch the pistol whilst I take the pics but will see what I can do right now.

So the situation is a bit grim in the Gulf. Sad! Have you tried Al Sayyid?

Pran,

I don't know of any ongoing election at KSRA.

Whatever you do, don't loose your cool. I was kept waiting for 18 months.

Hi Badshah,

Not the best of pics but I hope they illustrate the operating sequence.

1) Engage safety.

Image

2) Push down on the slide close to the hammer but ensure you do not push down on any part of the rear sight and pull the hammer back.

Image

3) The top slide will now release as shown.

Image

4) Grip the slide and push outwards until you hear the sear click and the slide cannot be rotated any further. Watch out for that rear sight!

Image

Image

5) Insert pellet directly into the barrel. The barrel is held within the top slide.

Image

6) Bring back the slide, pull back on hammer, press down on slide, gently release the hammer.

Image

7) The HW45 is now cocked and loaded.

Image

8 ) Point in a safe direction, release safety catch and fire.

Congratulations Rusty. A humble suggestion, speaking from experience here. I noticed your wedding ring, if you like to not scratch your toys, while handling them, try to remember to remove the wedding ring, I know its difficult, I somethimes don't even notice its there. While cleaning I scratched my Beretta with my wedding ring and was not happy. I now remove my wedding ring and wear cheapo cotton gloves. While shooting, it goes into my ear plug case and I wear Baseball batting gloves.

Congrats once again.

Mack The Knife,

Enjoy your new toy.

My HW 45 is in .177 cal., so shooting at 50 meters (55 yards) is marginally feasible. The .20 cal. can also be shot at that distance with a lot of skill, but the .22 is more unlikely. The sights may be adjusted, of course, but the .22 caliber has a rainbow-like trajectory and is best suited for medium range plinking. In fact I would categorize the HW 45 in three categories, according to caliber, offhand with the ammo it likes:

.177 cal. (4.5mm) = 10m target practice and 50m fun plinking.

.20 cal. (5.0mm) = hunting

.22 cal (5.5mm) = plinking extraordinaire.

You can always order spare caliber barrels here: http://www.kaehny.de/luftdruckwaffen/we ... stolen.htm

Best regards,
Nikos

Congratulations Mack The Knife,

That is a awesome pistol.. Any specific reason why you got it in .22?

Remember to buy an airline approved gun case and a padlock. The case you see here probably costs about $10.00 in the U.S.. I am pretty sure Lufthansa will permit you to put this in your suitcase, so you wont have to pay for extra baggage. However, do check before placing the order.

Not this time Rusty, Need to save some for my shotty fund .. :(. And if nothing happens on license front then I will be back in US soon. Will get it that time.

Is it only Pistols or Air rifles also. If this is true then INDIAN market will also dry up as most of guns with dealers come from middle east only..

Eightteeeen Months.....and now they have added that police verification thing also which take around 3-4 month at the least. So we are talking about around 2 years to get the membership....

Its really pathetic... :(

Hi Sharief,

You are right about the ring but am afraid to loose it. Getting increaingly scatter brained with each passing year.

Thanks and take care.
