barrel change for .315 indian rifle

hi, wanted to know that is it allowed to change the barrel of .315 indian rifle and if yes wats the process ,where can we get it changed

Whiur ble I dont know if you can have your barrel changed from a legal perspective, the process of changing a barrel is fairly straight forward.

You unscrew the old barrel from the action, and screw in a new one. Check the headspace, and you're good to go.

In India, my guess again is that this would be done at IOF.

any reason for changing the barrel?

best to go to gunsmith or check out the 315 threads to see what other members have done.

you can do it but would need to have some know how and tools.

actually its my friends gun he fired with the cloth inside the top end grooves are missing

Lucky that the Barrel did not blow up.
I think you will have to apply for a NOC from the Commissioner of Police and then proceed with the repairs.
