Jonah there is such a provision for airguns which fail the deal wood test. ababujay has just done the right thing unlike the slight of hand some resort to.

As since dominator is a confirmed firearm, this cannot be imported other than elite sports personal. I see a big question mark there.

Whoa........? Which Dominator are we talking about?

The Logun Dominator? the re badged FX Cutlas, AKA FX Superswift (....remember my earlier post, snigger snigger)

The Walther Dominator? basically a FT air rifle

Tirths, why are they confirmed firearms?

I would have agreed with Jonah about space on your license, but now you have done it, conrgats, and enjoy your gun. If it's the FX one, make sure you have extra mags. The spring released return makes it very fast to shoot.

BTW, if this is full powered, I would look for a source of compressed air to fill it regularly. Use the Hills pump only for topping it up occasionally, else you'll spend more time pumping than shooting

hamiclar01,
Walther Dominator, that ABABUJAY has failed the test carried out by the forensic dept. therefore coming under firearm category.

Jonah
dea jonah,
dominator is no way inferior for a rim-fire other than the power, but compared to other pcpes dominator is very powerful, i am not a very good shooter but still i cud make 1 inch group at 30 yards with open sights,
the gun is verry smooth, 8 shot repeater, no jamming, cheap ammo etc
so i feel i hve not wasted my license.
regards
babu

dear Ngrewal,
the customs people have a very big list of goods which are exempted fom duty unfortunately my dominator of .22 caliber was not in the list hence 100% duty. :(

dEA RANGAN,
The customs people are not techies so as soon as they see ur gun, they will immediately send it to the balastic dept where it will fail the deal wood test , and the rest u know, this is my personal experienc e in chennai.
so plan accordingly.
wishes babu
