Really have no idea of Singer 7.65 but .45 Singer ofcourse is a collectors item since only 500 were made during the world War II

nikhil,

I am afraid your pistol is not French . Pistols like yours are Spanish ( Eibar/Ruby type) made by different manufacturers around the Spanish civil war era. There were more than 50 manufacturers producing different brands for different markets. These pistols were made in many different sizes in both .25 and .32 caliber. Brands included Action No. 2, Alkartasuna, Allobrage No. 1, Asiatic, Azul, Crucero, Express, Errasti, Fiel, Joha, Kapporal, Le Secours, Liberty, Paramount, Praga, Premier, Puppel, Royal, Singer, Stosel No. 1, Union Model III, Victoria, Vincitor, Waldman, and Walman.

There is however a Singer 1911A1 .45 acp made in USA , which are rare( only 500 made) and most valuable of all the 1911A1 variations . But clearly your firearm is not that .

Can you upload bigger and better pictures please ?

best,

Rp.

Nikhil, like The Doc said, it would be much better if you could get better and bigger pics and post them on the forum. There are lots of seniors who would give you their opinion. We've have had some cases of members buying guns and finding out later that they were duplicates made in the "small scale" industries in UP / Bihar. Better to be prepared and find the right stuff instead of regretting it later. Or as MoA suggests, you can always invest in IOF product.

Regards
Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.

You want more gun control? Use both hands!
