You want a dog that will scare the living daylights out of everyone. That would be the Cuacasian Sheperd.
However be warned they require good training and handling skills.

Look up the Caucasian Sheperd. They were used to guard Nukes. Will eat a Tibetian Mastif for breakfast. They make Ariska's feel like Labs.
Funnily I like the Mastiff.

Re: Need Advice
Tibetan Mastiff are great dogs my friend had it in Punjab one of the most ferocious dogs I have seen. Got to give to this monster Caucasian Shepherd I thought it was photo shop enhanced stuff..they are mean machines.
Actually the most intelligent dog I knew was a mongrel which my uncle raised. The small pomerians are most active alarms..personally stay away from the Gluttons e.g. Labs per my experience turn into great door stoppers . Which ever dog just raise it good and train it ..they will do the job more the better
Best

Re: Need Advice
MOA : well the CS grows up to a height of around 33" while the TM grows up to 28", quite possible that Cs will eat up TM, let's hope we do not happen to witness the sight
ngrewal : no doubt TM's are great dogs grewal ji, in fact they are highly prized possessions of the tribes in Tibet & surrounding parts of China, i frankly feel that the ferocity of a dog depends on its owner, every dog reflects it's owners' persona.
take care
