Re: Can we change bore on licence
He can try talking with someone in licensing authority's office, it should not be a problem. I would suggest instead of getting 12 bore changed to .315 bore get it changed to "NPB shotgun/rifle". This would allow him to purchase any NPB shotgun or rifle including .315. This way your friend will not be limiting himself to a particular bore, in future if he decides to go for some better/different bore firearm like .30-06 etc.
If licensing authority does not agree to change the bore on license for some peculiar/silly reason, apply for another license for "NPB shotgun/rifle". Once he gets second license, he may get canceled the first license, if he desires.

Hi Baljit,if your friends licence is for 12 bore gun only, tell him to deposit the fees for NP.Bore rifle and write a letter to the DM/P.C who is his licencing authority and get and addition on his Arms licence for NP Bore rifle. This is for your information that on one Licence you can have 3 weapons,if you are a member of NRAI,you can have 4 weapons,a 22 Bore Rifle in addition to a Big Bore rifle.GBM he doesnt need another Arms licence an addition is all what he requires.RGDS

Re: Can we change bore on licence
Hello Baljit,
Yes you can get it additionally endorsed. My initial licence was issued for '0.32 bore revolver' only [not even pistol], which I immediately got modified to 'NP Bore Revolver / Pistol'. All I had to do was to write a letter to DM for change of Bore from '.32 to NP with addition of pistol' indicating a valid reason. It took some 30 to 40 days and they endorsed 'NP Bore Revolver/Pistol' separately on the SAME licence indicating the DM order date.
I hope your friend knows how to get around Babu's
best regards

Re: Can we change bore on licence
Is there any particular form for endorsing additional weapon in licence , any notification in arms act supporting the processes. As per my information any addition in licence is done only after adopting complete process as in case of fresh licence.
Kindly provide such supporting documents that allow this addition directly as this will really make this process straight forward .
Regards,
James..
