Hey Mack The Knife,

is it possible to buy replacement barrel for the HW 75 as well. Well wouldn't serve any purpose because with a larger calibre, it would drop the pellet like a stone..

Is it possible to step up the power in the 75?

Hi Ranjeet,

Never heard of anyone changing the barrel on a 75 to a larger calibre but it may be possible considering the 45 and 75 share some features and come from the same stable. However, as you rightly said, it's not worth switching to a larger calibre.

No, you cannot increase the power on the 75.

Indeed, the Beeman P1 and HW 45 is definetly worth having.

It can be a plinker, a trainer, a target and a hunting pistol in one package, dpending on the caliber barrel one chooses to fit it with.

Both the P1 and HW 45 are the same thing. Same model appearance, except for the markings, same power, same cocking, the works. They are like two drops of water.

The standard wooden grips are OK, but they don't suit me.

I have opted for a slip-over rubber sheath with finger grooves like the one on my Walther P22, pictured below.

There are two gun shops in Singapore, Chye Whatt Seng at the People's Park Complex and Hock Ann Sporting who are somewhere new now - I haven't been there since 1994. However, prices there would be extremely high. I am told Malaysia is a better choice as their gun laws have always been more relaxed than Singapore's and their prices for everything are lower.

Thanks. Of course it is. I'm shooting it alongside the FWB 65, which I prefer. It's not mine; the former (HW 75M) belongs to a friend and the latter (FWB 65) to the Airgun Club.

Sorry for the confusion. My mind is getting mushy with all that HW 45 shooting...

According to the 5th Edition of The Blue Book of Airguns, the HW45 was "develped from the Beeman P1". So, all is all right, then.

Guys

Looks quite real to me as Nikos mentioned resembels Colt 1911.

If my boss approves and I have dollars left I really like the Diana RW side lever air rifle. issue is for same price I can pick up a .22 or .17HMR rimfire Rifle.

Mehul thanks a lot for the information. Even I was a little sceptical about prices in Singapore. Will return via Malayasia in that case. The last time I shopped in the region was in 2001. Manila seemed to be Mecca for gun lovers at that time, i.e. before the political crisis.

Nicos, I also use a similar slip-on grip by Uncle Mike's on my .22 Hi-Standard. Works fine for quick shots.

But I was more curious to see the barrel extension on your Walther. It even has the thread protector....

Quite a package you carry it seems

hi everyone
after trying all the sources in india to get my hands on a hw 45 i finally ordered it online. So finally i am going to be the proud owner of a hw45 after 5 months of hardwork( my 1st air pistol). will be getting it in 3-4 days time. although i spoken to a known custom's guy, so hopefully i shldn't hv any problems gettting it cleared from the customs. but just as a back up, can anyone send me the link for the copy of ammendment of the law.

It is accurate, too. The target below is a timed 20-seconds string, offhand @ 25m. Twenty shots.

Score: 180ex200 with run-of-the-mill ammo; not Tenex!
