Hi
I have recently acquired a National .2 spring rifle and .2 pistol (barrel break)
They are ok, not very accurate (or I turn into a lousy shot with them) as when I use imported guns I am better at using them.
I find it very difficult to purchase accessories like cleaning equipment, cases and stuff.
There is no manual or documentation on how often it should be serviced.
The website is not very informative http://www.nationalairarms.com/index.htm

I would like to buy IHP's by mid of the year.

Thanks
Regards
Gaurav

I always thought they were 2 different companies
Becauseeveryone refers in shops by the name of National and not IHP also the web sites for National http://www.nationalairarms.com/index.htm is different from IHP http://www.indianhumepipe.com/index1.html

Thaks for the clarification. However I guess I wanna buy the two new models by IHP. CO2 psitol and pnumatic rifle.

Hee are my 2 cents
.22 has more power

Co2 is a better pistol than spring.
Price of a spring one will be around 3000 while that of Co2 will be 9000. Co2 will have additional cost of Co2 cylenders

Distributer address for Mumbai can be found at the link http://www.indianhumepipe.com/index1.html

Hi Nilkanth
Cal of gun does not decide which is better .177 and .22 are different models of different diameter of barrel. Yes if the cal of the gun is more than its make it more powerful due to bigger size of pellet. In this way .22 is more powerful than .177 but accuracy is not depend in cal of gun
In comparison of springer and CO2 operated, definitely CO2 operated guns (PCPs) are more accurate than springer because there is no recoil. In springer recoil is always there which can affect the accuracy.

In terms of power there is always a limit in springer for power because u have to cock it with more force and more power means more recoil which always affect accuracy whereas in PCPs for more power u have to chose gun with cylinder of more pressurized compressed gas and it will not affect the accuracy due to no recoil.

Thanks

Hi Santhosh

It is not possible to fit these piston on IHP 35. The shape of IHP piston is little different from these. It also has groove which help to get it back and compress the spring when we broke the barrel for cocking the gun. That groove is not clear in these pistons.

The IHP rear sight needs to be worked on. But if its damaged, then get a set of Diana rear and fore sight from GSmith Pune. I had bought a rear sight from them for 1500/-

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.

Hi Santhosh,

Tirtha(tirths) owns that design and he is located in Chennai itself. Why don't you procure one from him directly instead of taking his design and fabricating etc. You may wish to plan your own design otherwise.

magna shot? haha i just bought this companys .177 flat head pellets. though the pellets look very fine but they dont fit in my .177 gamo air pistol. they should be a bit smaller, as the pistol has a grooved muzzle the pellets cant go through and travel a distance of merely 2 metres. dont go for magna shot. United and aimco are better

In .177 the best pellets are made by gsmith, specially their p10 and select etc. The rest of the Indian brands all have problems. Mastershot is excellent for IHP or the National air rifles.
