hii friends. I am in negotiation with a dealer from Pune to aquire one Walther cp88 .177 pistol as a gift (?) for my use. The terms are that he will give me a letter stating that the weapon ( ha ha ha) is given to me by him as a gift or something. The dealer ( reputed indeed) will give on his letter head that NO LICENSE is needed for the said pistol. I have break barrel pistol of local make and one blanca multishot and one air rifle daw's make.
what I want to know that
1.0 is there any legal problem in this transaction?
2.0 can I carry with me in railway, during road travel etc? I know it does not need license but the import aspect is baffling me. Amd also the qality of awarness among our cops.

Yes you can travel to anywhere other than airport. But be ready for police harassment. 2days ago Zeenews showing a case in gurgaon that police found an airgun (BSA airsporter) and few 315 bullets
