Re: Amico M300 Under lever
Amol don't use the oiling pellets before 5000 shots ,every 500 shot put one drop of gun oil through the barrel and dry fire the rifle that should remove the residue anyway, u can't you a ramrod on these things , I confirmed it with Mr. Biswas at Aimco, a most helpful gentleman. Aimco has a loyal customer in me always but ya the two stage trigger is a good Idea also a manual safety catch instead of a hard trigger seems like a better option but won't it reduce the power?amolpisal wrote:Hello Vijay,
Actually i tried a lot to get a look at the grooves but since its a fixed barrel gut its just impossible. Also i was thinking how should i clean the bore if needed. Then i found out that we get bore cleaning pellets and bore oiling pellets by G Smith pune for some 300 Rs a box containing 25 oiling and 75 cleanning pellets which you just have to fire from your gun.
But for the grooves.... any one have an idea how to have a view of them in a fixed barrel gun with a knob type pellet loader??????????????

Dear Raptor,
Cocking this M300 is not a big issue, Its not that hard at all. Its smooth. Ya but as discussed early, it requires strong force to pull the trigger and release the piston. I think, Aimco should see if they can incorporate a two stage trigger for this gun. I checked in our local market to find out that there is some company called CTF or something from Kolkatta who has these two stage triggers for their gun. So if they can have, why not Aimco.

Re: Amico M300 Under lever
Hello Raptor,
Thanks a lot for telling me the procedure to clean a fixed barrel air gun. You are right, a ram rod should not be used in these fixed barrel guns as they can damage the pellet loader and result in air leakage and loss in power.
Secondly the trigger mechanism has no relation with the power of a gun. Power depends on spring, seal diameter & condition, and air discharge port, i.e. basically the compression of an air gun. In a two stage trigger we can adjust the pull force or sensitivity of the trigger in a gun, as per ones need and taste.
Hey this Sunday i will be testing my M300 for grouping and performance. Will update you with my findings... Some of my friends are also giving me company with their air guns. The guns for comparison will be I.H.P mod 35 1.77 & 5.4, Gamo Hunter 5.4, Aimco Mod 75 5.4
Thanks
Amol

This kind of trigger is not easy to manufacture under the circumstances the kolkata gun company works. It needs lot of of investment and therefore the manufacturing cost will increase. there is a great saying: "Ghar ka murga dal barabar" and therefore will never buy by paying huge some:) rather will import even it is vintage oneamolpisal wrote:Hello T20,

I think we can at least make great single stage trigger. And many of you will agree that there is nothing wrong in single stage trigger if the trigger is really smooth and light one. There are many popular gun company still makes popular gun having single stage VIZ. CZ, HW etc...

Blademaster you can't get scopes on Indian Airrifles to the best of my knowledge but there are others who are better informed so wait a while.
As for M300 it's got my vote

Yes you can . Just need a 11mm Dovetail bar installed on your air rifle. Its a pretty simple task and you can do it with help of any skilled person or by yourself if you have adequete tool at your home.
Thanks and Regards,

Re: Amico M300 Under lever
the Indian versions don't come with the required mounts off the rack, then again who needs a scope to shoot something at 35 mtrs.tirths wrote:You mean to say, can't fit scope?Raptor wrote:Blademaster you can't get scopes on Indian Airrifles to the best of my knowledge
I guess if one has the necessary expertise one can make a mount buts let's face it the scope is probably going to more expensive than the rifle, maybe that's why they don't make the mounts but then again I don't know everything
