Hii Every Body,
I hav booked a pistol from O F Muradnagar, on 12/12/09 .
I got my reg. no. and now they are telling that I will get the delivery of pistol in may 2010.
Can it be possible, as on the booking time they told me that the waiting period is approx 18 months, but now they are
answering that I will get the pistol on may 2010 just after six - seven months.
Are these people making fool of me or I am lucky as I am getting the delivery soon.

Any suggestions Or opinions required //

Thanx..........

Hi,

If you'd not done so on an earlier occasion, you can apply for an extension of purchase period. Explain the circumstance to your issuing authority and it's usually given... though the extension period may vary from place to place....request for the maximum if possible.

Hi All!

I recall someone mentioning about how to check on the manufacturing defect of the Ashani pistol at the factory, but was unable to find the link due to shortage of time. Can somebody here please help me with the same? Thanks in advance!

How will this help you in any way ticky? Even if there is any kind of defect in the pistol they will not change it for you, they will only rectify it for you. Because the standard procedure which they follow is that when you reach the ordinance factory to collect the weapon ,they get all the relevant papers signed from you even before they show you your weapon. They get the delivery papers signed beforehand. They leave no scope for any " if and buts ". They will stamp your license ,get the invoice and sale letter dully signed from you and thereafter they give you the revolver or pistol.

Thanks Grewal Ji!

Got delivery of my pistol yesterday and I'm absolutely loving it. I hav'nt got a chance to fire it though. Waiting for the KSRA re-open so I can test it there. The finish is still nickle plated, but in a darker shade than before which I like better.

Now take a piece of wood and bang on what the IOFB chaps like to call the "Cap Spring Return" until you break the araldite bond holding it from moving.Strip the pistol and clean all the muck before you fire it.After you fire it,check the empties for any 'funny signs'.
