Hi Tirths,

Since I am planning to fit the Diana Seal & Adaptor, thought I might as well attend to the trigger too. Is there a trigger assembly available seperately? If not how do I go about achieving a smoother pull in my IHP35. Pl. let me know.

Hi Brihacharan,
They are hard! Bad. Very BAD. Over the period of time, they would be bit soft and they continue to be soft and finally they will give up and the result could be AUTO FIRE! I don't know why IHP is using Mild Steel on piston sheer and high carbon steel on trigger blade They never can match. The company who do not think about a bit of safety and that too on ARMS, they should be banned!!

However, I have strong inclination towards their Air Pistol. They are fine and decent product. I will buy one soon.

If you need relatively smooth trigger..open the gun and slightly blunt the trigger blade. I have seen in some models where the trigger blade is or harder material and the piston sear is of MS . If you need a reliable and safety trigger weld with a 2mm HSS drill bit on the sear then grind it flat. Also change the trigger spring to a stiffer one.

Thanks. Tirths too is of the opinion that IHP uses MS for piston sear and Carbon steel for the trigger blade. Boy! what a mis-match! Will check with my gunsmith re. welding the sear & smoothening it.

Remember when you weld with HSS you need to remove 2 mm material from the sear. This will compensate the extra material thickness and allow to cock as before.

Hi Vijay
Thanks for your prompt response. Will remeber your advice. As mentioned to Tirths, IFG should bring this to the attention of IHP to ensure that the piston sear is atleast induction hardened to match the carbon steel of the trigger blade. This may prevent the gun accidentally going off when cocked. Looks like IHP has thrown 'safety' to the winds!

Mild steel can not be hardened due to low carbon content. So basically they need to change the material to 1040 or 45 so it can easily Flame hardened.
