I know nothing about mumbai and also think you've got your answers but i'd still like to help you just in case you haven't.
order an IHP 35 .22 from
http://www.aimco.co.in and it will cost you just around 4200 or a little more, there is no India made gun which will cost you more than that (as far as my meagre knowledge of air rifle goes), need a better air rifle? Imported is the way, but will cost 10 times more or less.
Pest control? What would your particular pest be? Please remember, hunting is banned and rats and crows are the only pest that can be shot without prior permision. (corret me MOD if i've mistaken).
If you've already got the air rifle, then have a good time with your pest.

thanks buddy, but in the market here there are brands like amico, national, Rwx and DAWS but is sort of confusing to get one as there are models which are priced to about 6500/- so was wondering on which model to decide

As a matter of fact, its pretty much the same here, local dealers always quote a lot more. For example, the jimmy under lever air rifles which are made in kolkata cost just 2000 at the factory but its about 4000 in delhi and even worse, its about 5500 in my local gun shop. So think about it, and my advice is for you to order it from
www.aimco.co.in , if you are still confused, go through the board and check out the other post.

I certainly have doubts with crows, they r definetly consideraded as pests in Russia, may be not in Mera Bharat Mahan

Hello,
Aimco is a distributor for IHP (national). I think they give you the best package. Many members here have interacted with them, and are quite happy,Plus they market their own products. Daws and Rwx are unknown to me. But no matter what company the gun belongs, breakbarrel or underlever with a 35 coil or a 40 coil spring. better get the basics straight. Any Indian Brand other than IHP is not worth more than Rs.2000. in break barrel. In a underlever model anything over 2600 is extortion. As far as i Know!!. If u know otherwise post the data. Go to Abdul Rehman Street try to find aK 500 or 550 model in Break barrel or underlever and post the progress, It would be very helpful.
