HAd a shoot off last sat, this one at 900m, and the rifle /scope combo are getting comfy-initial zero was at 200m, moved upto 300m and got a nice group, so held onto that.
Match started with a cross wind of atleast 5min deflection from 9 O clock, and my firts sighter was low at the 5 ring at 7-8 oclock. Had a frantic 20clicks up and right, 2nd sighter was bang on but high, so down 10 clicks, and it was show time.Managed 7x 10 and 2x9 and 1x8.It was a good day and pics are on:

That is a NF 12-42 or 8x32 if I am not mistaken. 20 clicks up would be about 22-23 inches at that range.

I am surprised you were on target with a 200 meter zero, let alone in the 8 ring. Also the wind should be drifting you to 5 o'clock unless you read it wrong. Anyhow...if that was your first match at 900 the scores are excellent.
What loads are you using?
Shooting the 6.5-284?
F class looks like fun. Have to give it a try.

Yup, its a NF 12-42 with a RR reticle.
Shooting with a T shirt, pulled the sighter, had a bloody elbow to blame. 2nd saw me bang on , but about 10 clicks high.
Using ADI-2225,54gr on the 6.5-284.The scenars have a BC of 600+ wow, glad i had my glasses on while reading. They chronod at 2766fps.Thinking of using a 4350 equivalent-the 2209, which I use for my 243
Sorry for the late reply, was flooded under at work and got a day off today

I guess you got lucky...

I personally dont really use a chrono, I let the target tell me how a load is performing. Personally I dont really care how fast or slowly the bullet is travelling, as long as its giving me the results I want. :D
I know a lot of people who wont agree with this approach, it a bit like measuring the concentricity of your ammo. I have given up on that, weight sorting etc.

My experience, limited as it is tells me as long all all the cases are trimmed to the same length, good quality and you are using good dies the rest is just distraction. I do anneal, and I do measure oal etc. But the rest doesnt bother me.

Try Varget as a powder, or some of the Reloader powders. People are reporting good results. I tend to stick with IMR 4350, Varget and the VV powders. More VV than anything else. You cant go worng with Lapua Scenars, though give the SMK, Berger's etc a try. Each barrel seems to have its own preference. My .22-250 will not shoot Lapua but makes small groups with SMK's are funnily enough S&B bullets.

BTW I believe the BC on the Scenars is understated...
