IHP "National" air rifles & pistols

Hi.

Maybe I am the most recent customer of the IHP.

Got my IHP Mod 35 0.22 delivered today evening, bought through Aimco.
Had read real good stuff about them on this forum and had an equally good experience dealing with them.
Came at Rs 3600 for the rifle + 200 for a wooden packing + 100 for the rifle carry bag + 800 for a 5k United pellets = Rs 4700
Plus paid Gati a Rs 666 for 7 day delivery from Kolkata to Delhi.
And also found 100 Aimco pellets complimentary.

Shot a couple of pellets @ 10m and broke the first bottle of my shooting career.

A detailed analysis will be done on the weekend, but as a first cut, the gun looks good and sturdy.
Had heard that the trigger is hard, but didn't feel anything like that. The gun was in good finish against the popular complains heard.
Has IHP improved or have I got lucky? or maybe I am a bad judge.
Sure I have got more worth than I paid for.

Will strongly recommend Aimco. It's easy and reliable.
I feel they can improve their website loading time and navigation a thousand times better.
If you're reading this, Joy, please treat this as a really important feedback from a customer !

Indians for Guns has helped me a lot in this purchase and I am reading through all the info which can help me enjoy my shooting experiences.
Will post again with pics, measurements and discoveries from my tryouts with the air gun this weekend.

Hey Congrats Vivek,
You made a good choice to buy IHP, but why you bought .22 and not .177 ?
.177 would have helped more to improve your shooting.

You are true, .177 would have helped better with target shooting, but I thought a .22 will be handy if it ever comes to "Pest Control".

Hi Everyone, especially the experts on this form.

I am a new member in this excellent forum and have been reading all the posts by you all.

Recently I purchased a National 35, 0.22 caliber air rifle from Arts Vrast, Delhi and shooting away to glory. I always wanted an imported one, but had to be content with this as getting one from abroad is difficulty.

For Rs. 4000/- odd, I didn't expect much but some fun plinking in my back yard. Surprisingly, however, I discovered that this model is not so low on power and the pellets get embedded on the wall even at a distance of about 25 30 ft. No killing or maiming mind you. My killing days are left behind some 30 years back, when I had a Diana.

I am now planning to mount a laser pointer and maybe a scope later, just for the heck of it. I have a very powerful laser pointer powered by 2 AAA cells and and a spare pair of Dove Tail mounts. This gun does not have a rail on which to instal these mounts.

Can you please help with this?? I have adapted design which I will have fabricated shortly. I wish to share it, but cannot embed my JPEG here.

I have also been studying the Web and learned how to clean and oil this thing and devised my own method to do it after every 800-1000 shots

Hello Seniors n Frds,
I just check the price of National air rifle in lucknow. And I thought its going to be cheap.

National Mod 35 0.177 cal. is at Rs 5600 with a carry bag . should I buy it ?

Dont even think about it. The price for a .177 is Rs. 3150.00 and for the .22 is Rs. 3300.00.
I just picked up the .22 last week in Cochin.

The canvas carry bag is just Rs. 100.00.

Please do not shoot the poor STRAY dogs they already suffer a lot on the roads getting no food and getting kicked by people, when they only wanted some love. I'm a pet lover and have a dog. I request you guys NOT TO SHOOT STRAY DOGS, they cannot express their distress on their face and people think its ok. They suffer the whole time after being shot at in pain and are helpless.
