Hi,
You have some good shops in Mount road Chennai. I would strongly recommend that you buy your gun on line form http://www.aimco.co.in they are very trust worthy and many members in this forum buy from them. They also ship only through Gati which is also a very renowned courier company. Guns from aimco are of good quality and you can be sure that some dealer is not trying to sell you bad stuff.
What gun have you planned for?

There are two shops in Coimbatore. 1. Kovai sporting arms at Crosscut road and second is firearms centre at Sundarapuram.
KSA sells New Diana air rifles which is what your freind would have referred. I donot know about originality of Diana springs however this KSA has a authentic letter from Diana stating that they are their authentic service agent trained in Germany.
If you want IHP AR's FC is the shop.
You may contact them as they are both listed in Coimbatore directory.
Thanks
Kumar

I would suggest the IHP National 35 .22 or .177. or the Phorgun. This are some of the best Indian brands and serviceability is possible in almost all major cities.
Phoregun has a better trigger but the IHP has more power. At Coimbatore, should not cost you more then 6 grand. But I would still recommend aimco.
Diana in India is also called the Indian Diana. Personally, I am not impressed with that gun.
About the spring…you could go in for an imported spring, but if you have a tight budget, I would suggest you go in for a G Smith spring. They manufacture at Pune and have a large distributorship. Gun dealers have a knack to convince you to buy what they have and not what is the best. Take care and all the best.
