How to make the most of it in Delhi / Gurgaon ?
Hi All,
This is Vivek, working with a media company in Gurgaon.
Joined IFG yesterday.
Placed an order for my first air rifle IHP Model 35, 0.22 caliber and some pellets with Aimco today.
Have been reading all the info posted by you guys on this portal and has hugely helped me decide with my purchase.
Waiting for my Air Rifle to arrive now.
Curious on how to make the most of it when it arrives. Thinking if I should go to the outskirts and do some shooting around. Or if I should join a firing range.
Also wondering if I'll be able to do some game shooting (on legally allowed species) somewhere. Don't have a farm you know. Living in a rented place.
Will be great if I can get some idea from IFG members in Delhi/Gurgaon on what they do.

Welcome to the forums.
Game shooting? Hunting is illegal in India- what will you hunt with a .22 anyway? Squirrels, birds?

I guess you can consider shooting rats and crows as "game shooting" or a "hunt", more like pest control, eh? The less rats there are the better. Not very visible tho- the little buggers.

Heheh, the ones here in NYC are classified as dangerous game need at least a .30-06.
But seriously, every time I've seen a rat (I don't have any at home) I've never been in a position to shoot it with anything.

Yeah, I've seen the subway ones- but you can't shoot those. None in the apartment thankfully. Saw one touch the third rail once, that was a pretty fireball.
