PM's still showing in my outbox, if you've still not received it, I'll send again. And why don't you post some pics of the knives you've made?
As for a blacksmith, check with Jonahpach. He has been availing the services of a blacksmith in his area w.r.t knives.

Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.

I dont think so.For example Sudesh's folder can easy reach the spine if some one will be stabbed from the front with it.
Subal, its blade is 2-1/2" long.
Ofcourse It can reach the spine, but should be stabbed from the back
Here's a pic, compare the Browning with Tanto knife 7'' blade.
Sudesh.....

Re: Let's see your knives - big and small.
with 2-1/2" long blade you can make 8" deep stab easily! With good force even more deep.
here is example from the tape called Reactive Knife of one great Escrima teacher Mangisursuro Michael G. Inay
I will post later today picture of karambit which I made recently from bearing steel, nothing esthetically, but very functional

here is

torrent file for full movie Inayan Reactive Knife
To use this file You may need program from utorrent.com

this is NKT bearing which was used
here is local guy making it straight
here is the karambit, wholes drilled and rest worked out by files.
See, I'm not a knifemaker, but any one can try.
design copied from Tarani karambit folder, scaled down in photoshop and modified to fixed blade.
Not sure if I will leave it as it is or going to fix aluminum or G10 scales. Kydex sheath of leather one would be good to make too.

Keep working on it, and I am sure, it will come out refined.

Just visit any gun store; they have impressive collections albeit the high price.

congratulations, really nice folders, liner lock one of the most reliable too. serrated blade can be very useful sometime,if you need to cut belt or strong rope.
