So it was a problem with the hammer block safety and not the transfer bar safety

Guess thats why they made it in 7 shot.. to keep one chamber empty for safety??

I happened to hold one yesterday. the gun has a very good feel. have made the owner to promise me to give me a chance to try this out.

Hi doc,
Close friend of mine kept Arminus .32 revolver for around 2 years. Both of us went to Abohar it was in mint condition that person(Arrthia in annaj mandi )bought it from singapore way back and never fired it .

We people paid 1.27 lac at that time ( I think it was 16 or 17 jan 2006) . Looks were very good ,light weight due to aluminium alloy ( one should never go for alloy frame wepon).

After firing 60-70 rounds it got missalligned . so, he get rid off and booked IOF Rev(its working fine mark III is very good in fit and finish).

V-C,
We mostly used indian ammunition.
I think spending lacs on old hanguns like arminus or erma , we should preffer new IOF mark III.

The S'pore Arms dealers were notoriously famous for palming off Arminius revolvers to naive Indian buyers till the import under personal baggage ceased around Jan'1986. Most of these available today are the part of those imports. I have witnessed these Chinese operating as one of them tried to convincing me into buying an Arminius when I went there to buy my Walther PPK/S. Became a friend later and confided they had a huge margin selling Arminius. These were the days when a Walther PPK/S WOULD cost ₹ 3250.00 equivalent in S'pore. IMHO, it is one of the worst handguns to have come out from Germany.

I have fired 7 shot arminius more than 50 times in 45n 90 deg angles together. It has never misfired even once so far.

I hope you weren't indulging in celebratory firing (in the air)? Besides being dangerous, it is also illegal and you can have your license cancelled.

What are the different variants of this revolver? I have a one which says “RS” but otherwise looks exactly like the Armenius. It is a 7 shot .32.
