even though most politicians buy guns for themself and their close associates when they come in power , hardly anybody would come out and support RKBA for fear of a political backlash.

ps: it would be better to find out under RTI as to how many politicians have been issued hand guns and rifles .

Hi,
I would say at least 95% of the MP s and MLAs possess arms licenses, but that would be either because of a threat percption, for protection or as a status symbol. I beleive most of them are not exactly pro-gun for the general public. Possibly to keep the "power" to, and dependency on, them selves. In my experience when ever a license is applied for, its usually the police who reject and the politician's recommendation helps in having it issued. They usually end up recommending their own party workers or relatives or "business" :) associates.

GFI was started for furthering the cause of RKBA, but for some reason it is in hibernation. At the moment IFG seems to be a forum limited to theoretical discussions only. Wish, we start beginning to do something tangible, hopefully with support of politicians, media, as well as RTI and Honorable Courts.

This is where common opinion for GFI etc for action comes in, else this forum will be nothing more than just hypothetical discussion forum.
