The .375 Magnum more often than not refers to the .375 H&H Magnum. There are several variations to the .375 caliber, such as Dakota, Remington Ultra Magnum, Ruger, Weatherby Magnum, Wheelen and Winchester. The differences are in case sizes, volumes, pressures and velocities. Consequently ballistics and recoil.
As to the availability and pricing in India, cant help there. Though I am unclear as to why other than 'Because I can' would you want a rifle in this caliber.

Then there is also the .375 2 1/2" Nitro Express.

The .375 H&H is one of the most versatile medium bore cartridges. It was developed for dangerous game in Africa and Asia.

It's not exactly ideal for plinking. :)

I beg to differ... 8)
"With solid bullets on heavy animals such as elephant, rhino and buffalo this power is quite apparent but is not so obvious as when soft-nose bullets are being used, say, lion, particularly when is a case of stopping a charge : the .404 will stop him all right, but will seldom crumple him quite so completely as will the .416" -- John Taylor, Big Game and Big Game Rifles, (Ch. Haha, you like killing a lot of paper with a .375 H&H? More suitable targets have long been banned.

And the .375 Winchester, too. Now that is a nice plinker. That was one of the shorter-lived cartridge introductions of recent years. Cheers.

Dont we all?

An introduction about yourself might be a good idea.

The .375H&H is not called a magnum by the company itself.
