Went shopping today

Post by fantumfan2003 » Mon Mar 16, 2009 7:53 pm

I went shopping to Abdul Rehman Street today.

Ended up buying two tins of GSmith Competition pellets from Banson and A box of Diana Shot pellets from Hassanand Hemdas.
Also bought an air rifle case from H&H. Bansons had a well built padded case but it was Camo colour so I did not buy it.

Bansons has got Diana M54's. Senior asked me for lunch/tea/coffee as usual without fail. I opted for some plain water this time !

Tahir Arms were polite and helpful as always. Likewise for M. Saleh.

H&H had an...hold your breath...IHP peepsight Pneumatic.
What caught my attention was Agni AK200 in .22. it was a beautiful piece better than the present IHPs.
The bluing was better than the IHPs and the stock was fabulous with checkered grip and forearm. Pity it was .22. Had it been a .17 I would have bought it for the workmanship.

India Arms was a disappointment as usual, he had airsoft UMP and MP5 which he told me needs a license
ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL
I am convinced they don't like my charming face. Next time will piggy back with some one who know them well.
Want one of the airsofts for my son. Can some one help ? I have some business for them.

Had a great time.

Manish.

I did'nt ask price for M54's. They were .22 between 60K to 70K I guess. Agni is an Indian manufacturer. I think from Calcutta.

Hello Mr. Manish, I have purchased an air rifle recently ie. IHP .22 from Hasanand Hemandas for Rs 4600/- plus a box of Diana pellets. Did it cost me more ? As you mentioned Gsmith and Diana pellets, can you tell me in round head type pellets which make of these two types is lighter and better suites IHP. It also seems you are inclined towards .177 calibre, can you tell me of the two IHPs .177 and .22, which is better in your opinion and on what parameters and also which is overall M U L T I P U R P O S E ? Hope to benefit from your experience.

regards,
Amaresh.

Hello fantumfan,
You bought a rifle case.
Is it a Plastic moulded one OR the Nylon ones with zippers?
How much did it cost?
Regards.

Hi Amaresh,

I am from Mumbai too, so lets meet up this weekend.

Rs. 4600 is a good price. IHP has hiked prices
I have mixed reasons for liking .177.
- I do 10mtr open sight target shooting and getting started in Field Target shooting. .177 caliber helps here with higher velocities (but lower muzzle energy) and flatter trajectory.
- Many people opine that IHP .177 barrels are better than the .22 barrels. But I can't confirm that.
- With .22 IHP, pellet fit is a problem. You have Diana and Gsmith pellets, try Mastershot as well and see which ones your gun likes.

I don't quite understand by MULTIPURPOSE but we will talk this over in person.
Hope to see you this week end.

Manufacturer ? He would not even let me look at them. Does any one in Mumbai know this India Arms fellow, well enough ? I want to visit him with you then.
