Sleep well Tenx!

Lol Ashok! The lighter version is made primarily of Aluminum. There is so much going on right now and I haven't decided which to keep. There is also a shorter model which I decided not to keep. But as you said, the final model will probably be a combo of both. I'm also looking at a 3 piece design with the main tube made of Nylon to keep it extremely light. I'm worried about vibrations though. Lets just say that there's more than aesthetics going on here.

The bipod is a different story. I will put up the bipod schematics tomorrow. Plus it should be ready this week. I'll post disassembled pics also. It should be fairly simple to make...

You don't need to go through all that pains!

I've been using my handycam tripod for a while now! The one I have is a sony vct-r640. Cost me ~INR2500.

The detachable base can be attached to the forearm swivel stud hole.

The gun can then be easily attached to the tripod when necessary.

The base is a QD type.

But this setup is not mobile. And is clumsy when extended to full height. But you do have the option of taking standing shots.

Here's the rifle attached to the tripod. Had to zero again. But groups were awesome!! I could only shoot at 23yards and all groups were sub 1" with one awesome 3 shot string making a ragged one hole!!!

Mo,
Wonderful and sleek looking barrel sleeve.. noticed the attempt at noise reduction as well.Wish I was younger and as much of an enthusiast with an air rifle. BTW, how about a telescoping tracking stick with a camera mount instead of a tripod? Less cumbersome to carry around too. Please do let me know how it worked if at all you decide to try it out.

Material is aluminum alloy or steel?

How did you fix it with the barrel?
