Re: Mounting Scope on Springer Air rifle..
Hello Kumarnishith,
What you have here is a springer, so first and foremost make sure the scope you end up investing in is airgun rated(springers have a harsh recoil and would make short work of your scope lenses). Well!, traditionally most of the expensive(read that as imported) rifles have dovetail grooves on top, some might have provision for the weaver rails. According to the type of grooves/rails you decide on the scope mount. Weaver rails will take weaver mounts and also piccatiny mounts(mostly meant for military use).. There is a superb writeup in the Gunsmithing section on "how to install a dovetail type mount & scope" by Mack The Knife Sir(i know wouldn't help you much till you get the grooves/rails but the basics would come in handy). As the rifle in question has no grooves/rails you would have to improvise a bit. Take it to a local gunsmith and ask him to fabricate scope rails/grooves for it (they do it for rimfires usually). But be prepared to shell out something in the range of 3000/- .Some members have done something similar with the IHP's (with various levels of sucess). Please go through the old IHP posts for more comprehensive information . Would suggest do not subject the rifle to makeshift modifications,as if they are not up to the mark, would leave your rifle asthetically and maybe funtionally impaired..
