badshah sir,
i didn't have new information about IOF .22 revolver, but when i make a phone call to factory last month regarding new steel .22, marketing manager didn't tell anything about it, though a sequrity officer from meerut UP work in this factory told me that new .22 steel revolver is ready but factory not distributing till all old aloy model distributed.
amzingly waiting period from factory is aprox one & half year.

Diskoun ejector is strong enough topush the shells,,but the shell stucks in the cylinder and needs much effort topush them out ,you cannot push it wth your fingures,it need some hard support to do it.

what if the ejector is made of titanium. then it will be strong enough to eject the indian ammo. I think the current ejector may be the problem .. not the aluminum cylinder.

Re: Price of 22 IOF Revolvers
All 22 Revolvers are in alloy frame ...there is no official news about a steel frame being released in the market.
The prices wud be near about the same in all the states except for small variations in delivery and other incidental expenses incurred by the dealers. Its surely going to be more in UP as instead of VAT @ 12.5% they have UP Sales Tax @ 20% or so.

Re: IOF .22 revolver
Hi Guys, been out of touch for a long time. Hope you are all doing fine. Wanted to catch up so started with te last thread i left.
Kolkata dealers who have actually seen the first prototype of the all steel IOF .22 and test fired it more than a year ago have still no clue when it will hit the market. There is also no confirmed report on full scale production let alone sales. Because had distribution started at least two of the Kolkata dealers would have got it. They always get the first consignment whenever civilian firearms are produced by Ishapore Rifle Factory or Cossipore Gun and Shell factory. Will keep you posted if there is a development.
Bye

Why IOF .22 revolver considered "insufficient fire powe
HI Gun experts,
I Have been reading many posts on this website about .22 being insufficient /inadequate fire power but pls note that nato approved bullet is also .22 (5.56 mm) and same bullet used in insas rifle which is widely used by law enforcement agencies in India.
Can some one help me to resolve this conflicting info.
Thanks
rahul
