AFAIK the postal department has divided zones for all locations. Yours most probably be the Northern zone, considering Doon and hence, Delhi.

Hmm FedEx would be much faster in getting the item to our shores, but after that a lot depends on the customs people. Now USPS would be slower ,the item would go to foreign post office and it will be 20 days atleast before you get the object in question in your hands, however USPS compensates for that by being cheaper by 1/2 or even 1/3 rd the price of Fed Ex.Both can be tracked.. And frankly i think facing the FPO people is a lot easier than Customs (at Delhi), as they atleast look at the documents which you have carefully collected unlike customs.. You can at times get lucky with Fed Ex (i.e they will deliver at your doorstep in a week) but my experience wasn't that great.. So i would say go for USPS... Duty will have to be paid ,they will collect it as 14% CVD.. Hope it helps..

Cost of each item + import cost?

He does not sell gamo spring. What product did you buy instead ?

This is encouraging.

But why does he mention only NRAI ?

Membership of a club under / affiliated to a state rifle club e.g. MRA in Maharashtra, wont do ?

@ andy .. the FPO for you would probably be delhi.
manish.. i have used topairgun in the past (couple of months back),all they required was the credit card no. ,the membership comes in play when you go to secure your package at the customs or the FPO.. Any NRAI affiliated/recognized club/rifle association membership would do.. (i had a RISS ,dehradoon card). The delhi FPO users in the past were asked to pay the 14% CVD (notwithstanding the zero duty notification being produced).. ,maybe things are different now.The reason USPS route would take approx 20 days an Air Rifle is unlikely to be cleared by the FPO without you going there in person.. However smaller components like springs washers etc .. pass under the radar and get delivered at doorstep.
Regards,
Sharad
