Guessed so........i have seen these guys make knives out of mild steel using very basic tools like files, hacksaws.

Did they have a smaller version of the pipe knife concealed in a aluminium tube?

I did not find any. They had something similar to a sickle, and another similar to a hunting knife, but looked too 'raw' to be bought :)

Yes, you are right. It had a whole lot of dentistry running all along the top ...
It did look stunning at first, but the finish was too low for my liking. If the blade is really made of suspension metal, it should be solid ...

Kragie, a good selection there.

The Benchmade reminds me of their Nimravus. Haven't heard of a TAC Advantage.

Is the Hattori in AUS-8?

Thanks.

Mack The Knife - good catch - the Benchmade is the 140HS Nimravus - HS for high speed tool steel. The Hattori does not have the type of steel mentioned in the box. The dealer I used told me it was a special order of Hitachi steel that is used for ball bearings. He had them made as a special order. Not sure of the real scoop.
