Pipe knife? Is that what is also known as a Gupti, TenX? Built inside a GI pipe? Local ironsmiths in my area make such knives which are rather big to be called knives (15 inches or so). Cheap but very sharp!

This is the 'knife' I picked up :)

Its pretty sharp, but the inside finish is not something to talk about. Cant vouch for the material of the blade, although the guy did say he made it with vehicle suspension blades.
He quoted 200, and I quoted 100, and after some hesitation, he agreed! It may be bargained for a little less, but what the heck :)
Its pretty handy and feels tough ... something nice to keep below your car seat ;)

Hmm... I guessed so ...
But against other bigger evil like a highway mug-in-progress, would it still be criminal to brandish one to make a safe getaway?

Frankly a 2 1/2 to 3 foot section of pipe would be a better self defense than a gupti  .

Know what.. I actually have a security baton in my car, presented by another shooting fraternity member, which I have right by the driver's side... made of tough fiber, and real strong :)
This has always been part of my car kit for the last three years or so :)
