But seriously, I didn't know that. I do remember reading somewhere that the Chinese used air rifles for wars much before firearms. (Remember our conversation?)

In fact, an internet search for PCP history reveals some interesting facts, including that PCPs have been around for centuries. Example of an interesting website-

However, reliable PCPs have emerged not too long back- about 28 years ago, apparently refined by Daystate-

As the weight of PCPs has reduced and reliability and features increased, their popularity has increased. Even now, models by most companies are being upgraded continously- eg- Theoben Rapid. All advanced competition air rifles are now PCP without exception- nobody would dream about using a springer!

Yeah.. God gave two hands anyways... one for a Sringer and another for a PCP... if you know what I mean ;)
