Hmmm this rifle fits the bill perfectly to fulfill my promise of buying myself one rifle per year :D

Any idea how much FP/LBS it shoots?

-Inder
It tops out at ~500 FPS with match pellets... this is purely for paper punching... what makes it so attractive is the size & weight which makes it perfect as a starter training air-rifle for kids. Also the kind of accuracy you get compared to the price makes this a real bargain. The downside is that you would be paying US$50 or upwards as shipping costs for a US$ 100 air-rifle... :P

It's all plastic, so you will either have to use plastic primer prior to applying the paint; or better still you can get some of those plastic dyes, I think they are called anil dyes or something like that... they permanently change the colour of the plastic to the desired one... several applications are usually needed for best results, the final finish will of course be the non-gloss plastic one.

Now .. neither do I fly out often to hand carry an air rifle back.. nor am I a member of a rifle club?

What would be the fastest and best way to get this baby in my hands..

Thanks to Mack The Knife's generosity, I did not have to do further research and have finalized on the IZH 61.

regards,

You can sponsor me a trip... I would gladly get it back for you... and I am not very demanding.. UK/US/Singapore will do :)

Although babies take upto 9 months... if you order online, this baby could well land within a couple of weeks. There should be other faster (and more expensive) shipping methods too.. Check with whomever you are planning to buy...

However, since Sir Mack the knife will not let me use multishot and from one of the reviews i learned this can't be used as a single shot, i also looked up the IZH 60 of which this is a multishot version. (Correct me if I am wrong on both counts)

Now I will read all the how to import airgun threads and decide how to go about it.

diskaon.
Quickly learn to spell and pronounce weihrauch and you will win all the matches. And Lord of airguns, aka the nawab of richardstown may even award you extra points for good airgun sense. :-)

Devbhai,
I am sure you are referring to the weihrauch 45 air pistol!!! the worlds best spring pistol ever made...

common ya.. itna toh patha hai mujhe..

Anand,

I think I will have to sponsor your trip, as I dont have a club membership to order by mail. on other thoughts. I can sponsor myself .. or we both could go for a gun finding mission..

seriously, I am wondering how I will get this baby.
shipping cahrges - 2.5K, club membership - 5K, police verification - 3K

air tkts to singapore - less than 10 K..

both work out more or less the same. Though I would prefer to order online..

GURUs pls advice what I should do in such a situation.

Diskaon...

Doubt if you would be able to pick up an air-gun in Singapore... IIRC there was a discussion on this (buying in Singapore) on one of the airgun import threads...

Did not mean to hurt dude.. Chill :)

IMHO, getting a .22 thru mail is close to impossible.
Getting a .177 thru mail without a club membership is pretty risky. Most chances are that it will not clear.
What is possible:
Get a .177/.22 in person using club membership.
Import thru mail, a .177 using club membership.
... or buy it from someone in India

... Guess these are the only three possibilities...
