Well.. the range is open for non-members to just visit (but you may not like the experience ... ).
You will not be allowed to shoot or come in close vicinity at the range either.
You can use a rented rifle as long as you get bored Usually, what happens is that the not-so-serious shooters drop off, and the rest upgrade to better rifles - which they buy on their own, or use what the club can lend.
The only type of registration being taken in now if the Annual/Life member after the CRT training. I guess this too is on a hold till after the 12th of this month, when we have the AGM.

Re: Air Rifle shooting Club - Bangalore
hard luck... i wanted to get started soon.
Do you know of any other shooting ranges in bangalore? i live in Ganga Nagar and JP Nagar is pretty far from my place.
Also, how can i get my rifle from coimbatore? Do couriers take it up or do i have to bring it personally?

There are no other shooting ranges in Bangalore. If you work on it, you may even be able to come to the range and start off this saturday
Couriers 'may' take parcels from Coimbatore to Bangalore. Matter of fact, I have not tried it and would suggest you call up some couriers and ask them. be specific and mention that it is not a 'fire-arm', but only an air-gun.

good job on the site Tenx !
i am checking it out now.
Had a chat with Dad about the Diana yesterday, was surprised to know it been with him for more than 30 years ! Pretty vintage, don't you think?
I am going home this weekend and might bring it back with me
i will get the necessary documentation ready for the admission procedures to KSRA by next week. Hopefully, I should be joining you guys at KSRA next week end.
It would be great if you guys can help me put the diana in shape in case it needs some "putting in shape".
Do i need to have any kind of documentation or ownership transfer while moving the rifle inter state?

You dont need any papers.. Worst case would be some snoopy cop, but there's nothing wrong with it, as long as you dont brandish it enroute
If you can bring it in a concealed way.. without grabbing attention, I dont think anything will go wrong.
Regarding getting the papers ready ...
We have an AGM on the 12th, the next weekend. No work will be happening then. So, aim for post 12th, and we'll meet up at the range...
There are a lot of knowledgeable people here, who can make your Diana work better than before

Thats because I made the website and figured I look bestZenbon";p="54677 wrote: Hey Tenx,
I was going through the gallery on ksra and you figure in many pictures and award lists. Good show dude! Is this a reason for your worry about the latest pics not being uploaded? ....
Matter of fact, none of the images were chosen by me. A small team picked the images to be put.. so I had no say.
But why I am bothered is that this damn service provider manages to bring down the domain every two weeks .. and WITHOUT back up.. So, its like a routine I have got used to.. to follow up, bring it online and upload everything

Following is a message from Zenbon. I am adding it to the topic because of passing on information. What Zenbon asks are good FAQs...
------------------------------
i browsed the site, but i could not find any information on the annual sub.scription rates for an ordinary member. Can you tell me what it is?
Once i finish the Civilian Training, can i try my hand at trap and skeet? or should i need a gun license for those ?
------------------------------
The sub.scription rates are not mentioned, because that is a variable factor. Its not been changed for over a decade, but 'rates' were not to be mentioned.
You definitely can get into trap and skeet. It only goes about how you handle the admin stuff at the club. Dont take me wrong, but its no where close to doing what you like. There is enough and more of red-tapism. However, get in the league first, and lets see what can be done.
I will PM you my contact. Let me know when you are meeting the Admn. Officer. I will come along..
