Nice,
Let us know when you receive it. It is on my wishlist.

After you get it......
1. Which colour model?
2. How much metal has been used?
3. How real is the blowback action(if there is any)?

4. How is the experience with FedX?
5. Total cost including Postage + Tax + Excise if any( I know you should not be taxed but most have been taxed anyway)?

Ice.

Sharad
when is your parcel reaches u ? Any specific date given by the fedex company?

any idea about the co2 catridges availability because most of co2 pistols owners have not touched their stuffs due to scarce availability or high cost of co2 catridge

Hello Sankar,
the Fed Ex people gave me a date around 26th of this month. You are absolutely right about the co2 thing,co2 powelets are rarely available, and when available it retails at prohibitively expensive prices. The cheapest i heard of was from a banglore dealer called asian armoury at 180 INR(had called them up today). In Delhi anything from 200-230 (when available). Well i guess if you want to own the replica guns you must pay a premium :( . If you come across any information regarding availability kindly let me know

@ All members if you come to know about availability in delhi kindly update the thread..
Regards,
Sharad.

If you buy atleast 50 cartridges, you can get them for Rs.145.00 from Bangalore Armoury. Tell him I sent you. However, they have no way of sending them to Delhi. Did Ayaz from Asian Armoury tell you how he is going to send them?

Hello Mack The Knife Sir,
No ayaz sharif didn't mention anything about the shipping,he said i will have to take care of it. I have friends in Bangalore but just needed to ask which mode of shipping within india can they be dispatched by? I know the air couriers are out of the question. Will something like speed post (which delivers via rail) be of help? Would it help if we labelled the box just as sporting goods.. in case they refuse on hearing about pressurised canisters. Kindly suggest a way because powerlets are not available at the moment in delhi.I tried calling up bangalore armoury as well but the number given in the dealers section is not in use.
Thanks and regards,
Sharad.

Firstly, cut out the 'sir' business. The correct form of address is 'Your Majesty'. Thank you! :P

As for sending the powerlets via post, courier or a friend flying down to Delhi without the proper authorisation, forget about it and I mean that!

The only way you could get these powerlets from Bangalore to Delhi is via road or rail and the latter may be iffy as well.

There is one possibility of sending it via road and if it's feasible I will let you know. However, the first 50 powerlets are for Abhijeet. The rest can be divided between you and any other Delhi members.

Thank you for the insight Mack The Knife "Sir"(please excuse the suffix, med school habits die hard)
When you send the first lot for Abhijeet ,if possible and convenient please throw in some for me(any number). Quite desperate at the moment as the pistol will be useless without these. If it will not be possible to include more than 50 powerlets in the first shipment please keep poor me and other Delhi members in mind whenever the second shipment is possible..

Sharad.

Sharad,

My fault for not being clear. There will only be one batch, from which 50 powerlets are for Abhijeet.

He had asked me to look around for them, so last week whilst I was at Bangalore Armoury I came across a box and that's how I got the prices.

Let me know how many you would want. The shop owner had mentioned a price of Rs.140/- per powerlet if a minimum of 100 were bought. Failing which Rs.145/- for a minimum of 50.

Thank you for the clarification Mack The Knife Sir,
I needed 25 powerlets if they can be secured at 145/- INR each. In the event the powerlets are slightly more expensive would still take however many i can get for around 3700/- INR. Was kind of low on cash :) , otherwise would have gone for 50(i know it is too good an opportunity to pass up ) . Would gladly share the amount incurred on transport. If somehow I could be accomodated in this shipment it would be a lifesaver.
Regards,
Sharad

Sharad,

I will do what I can but please don't get your hopes up yet. In the meantime keep searching for alternative sources.

P.S.: Why don't you guys, with the exception of Abhijeet, think about this issue before ordering such guns? Buy something you can use rather than just show around.

Mack The Knife Sir,
I know the co2 air pistols are not at all practical for day to day use. The only reason i think i went for it was because it was a colt 1911A replica. The gun i dreamt about(owing to the healthy diet of war movies since i was old enough to understand them) but knew it would have remained one due to the arms act. I personally went for it on a purely emotional basis. Co2 is probably the most unsuitable sorce of propulsion for people not in metro's(and even in metro's),and requires deep pockets . Just hope that I dont get disillusioned with it too soon. Any help from your side regarding the co2 powerlets would help me get started ,meanwhile I would try to look for alternative sources as well .
Thanks and regards
Sharad
