OK,, this one was probably gifted by Don Quixote himself to Nagarifle... but its wandering spirit ultimately found its way to my door step. A big thank you Naga, for this beautiful piece... hope you like the lil' restoration. Still don't know what is on the handle... snake skin, shark skin ??

olly what can i say your are a genius man, got the junk off and produce a buety. now i wished i have not let you get near it.

i think its shark skin, if my brain pattern is right, in old days they used shark skin or sting ray skin, for the handle.

then again it does have that skin of snake look.
any way just enjoy
Nagarifle

if you say it can not be done, then you are right, for you, it can not be done.

Looks better up front, good work Olly :D.

For those with access to shark skin, here's something I found. It can be used on hilts and sheaths.

Nagarifle,
It can be yours again if you want it anytime... I just collect because of my "passion disease"... but I never ever forget the donor !! The gratitude will remain nevertheless, since you gave me a chance to play with it... :D

Nice stuff Olly.

I had once seen it in someone's house in Mysore.. and whatever/however I pleaded, he would not let go of it - cited emotional reasons of his grandfather having it in his belt and such.

As far as I know, its getting so damn rotten that even if slightly used, one will surely die of Tetanus!
