And yet another new toy
Picked this up yesterday...
Its a Savage 10 FP that has been blue printed and fitted with a 27.5 inch 1:8 twist Lothar Walther Barrel. The rifle is then fitted onto an HS Precision Aluminium bedded stock, with the Accutrigger Trigger.
In keeping with my current romance with the 6.5 caliber she is another .260 Remington. Have also ordered a 28 inch Border Barrel in 6.5x47 Lapua that will come to me sometime in Jan '09.
Tomorrow I will let you how she shoots.

This looks like a serious shooter and I am sure it shoots a mean target . I'd be happy just even caressing it.
best,

Re: And yet another new toy
MSandhu nope not based in Bangalore, not even based in India, so the price would only cause you heartburn.
Range Report: Well the long an short of it was the POI was shifting shot to shot. The scope is essentially broken. Took me about 30 shots to figure that one out. Danced all over the target trying to get POA and POI lined up. :(
So while I get a new scope for the .222 RM that I pulled the Bushnell off, to put on this. I have mounted the Weaver off my .300 WM to go test tomorrow morning.
As long as kept my POA constant, despite the scope problems averaged about .75 inches for 5 shots at 100 meters. I do know for a fact that the rifle is capable of much better, even if I am not.

This is a baseline target... and will now begin tweaking the loads to thighten them up. (100 meters off a bipod.. no rear support)
