Re: IOF ASHANI .32 pistol
Hi Folks,
I have been speaking to a few dealers, and I am being given the impression that the IOB has revised the rates for Ashani .32.
Any news on this?.
Thanks,
Ice

Iceman, if you read the last few pages on this thread you will find that more than a couple of people have mentioned the revised price - which is ~ INR 75,000 or so... if you go back even further (within this thread) the older price has been mentioned several times.icemanV";p="49523 wrote: Hi Folks,

Re: IOF ASHANI .32 pistol
I dont know if this post belongs here....so pls excuse.
I want to finally buy a .32 ashani (i am not going to spend lacs on others). My purchase period expires in Sept, 2008.
Considering the previous post. If i buy a .22 revolver to cover the period, the dealer charges me 45k and deducts 10k+tax paid if i wan to resell it. Is this normal practice.

Nice Pics TY
Wish that the Guys at GSF could make the markings by machine rather than hand.
The colour seems different from the older models....or is it just the pics?

Re: IOF ASHANI .32 pistol
Its a nice looking gun with ugly hand written marking ..but what can we expect from govt when they even print all the information on the passports with hand instead of printers ( which i think is changing now) ..
I guess you posted the picture of browning pistol to compare how crude it looks as compared to browning..
Cheers

Mack The Knife,
I went around in Bangalore to about 5 stores ......the least figure quoted was about 1.25. They r talking about a rate hike by 20k beyond the 79k factory price.
Is there normally a price diffenrence between North and South? Another member had qouted 1 lac earlier in the same forum.

Re: IOF ASHANI .32 pistol
Ice,
IOF recently hiked their rates to 70+, so I don't see how those blighters can justify another price hike for their shoddy products.
Bangalore prices (not South India) are usually on the steeper side compared to most parts of India but I see absolutely no reason for the prices you have been quoted.
If you are running out of time, apply for an extension to your purchase period and place your order directly with IOF.
