Re: IOF ASHANI .32 pistol
When you pull the trigger it goes bang, as long as there is a cartridge in the chamber

The .32 ACP is actually a semi-rimmed cartridge... though usually classified as rimless.

Re: IOF ASHANI .32 pistol
Unless you get a complete piece of junk, the IOF pistol can turn out pretty well.
A word of caution, some of the imported pistols in India are also complete pieces of junk.I am not talking about banged up ones but also some of the NIB ones.
Though not a piece of junk but the Walther PP/PPK people are willing to spend close to a million dollars on,is known to jam.
I have had just one stove pipe with all the IOF pistols that I have fired.Disregarding this one instance, there has been no failure to feed ,to fire or to eject so far.
The IOF pistol is loosely fitted and considering the Indian conditions, that may not be a bad thing. It is not very accurate but is adequate for it's intended purpose.

Re: IOF ASHANI .32 pistol
Had called Kanpur yesterday to chk on the avblty of the IOF .32.
Was told that if a draft of inr 75,930/- is sent , the waiting period is just a max of 40 days.
However if a draft of inr 6000/- is snt , the waiting period is within 90 days.
The same revolver is avbl wth dealers in Delhi for approx 01Lac.
Advantage of buying from a dealer is that one does not have to adhere to the "holding on" period of 05yrs. How this works out , i have no idea !!!
Cheers Rohit.
