With all due respects, seems you've been pretty rough on some of the earlier knives while cleaning them. The Puma Scouts especially. The horizontal scratch marks are pretty visible, unless it happens to be an optical illusion. Maybe you learnt by trial and error like I did. But a nice collection never the less. I do have a Fairbairn Sykes commando knife that has "England" written on the back of the hilt on one side and figure "21" with an arrow mark on top on the other side. Of course its not for sale as it holds sentimental value but I shall be grateful if some one could tell me more about it. It has blacked blade with brass handle with some kind of blackening on it as well and has no markings on the blade. It resembles yours in configuration and in the grip design except that it has a leather button handle fastener. instead of an elastic band unlike yours. It came with black metal tipped dark brown leather sheath with leather tabs on either sides. It was given to me in late sixties. I should add that it is a very well preserved item with only a few scratch marks on the sheath.
Cheers!!!

Yep, looks like a firemans axe. Great utility tool to have.
The guy who's making it for me is out of town for a while, I'll check on him today.
BTW the lil' man looks like he's already on his way to join the tribe
