I just check the price of National air rifle in lucknow. And I thought its going to be cheap.
National Mod 35 0.177 cal. is at Rs 5600 with a carry bag . should I buy it ?
Dont even think about it. The price for a .177 is Rs. 3150.00 and for the .22 is Rs. 3300.00.
I just picked up the .22 last week in Cochin.
The canvas carry bag is just Rs. 100.00.
Thanks,

thanks Leodude, that close to what I was thinking. i emailed the IHP guies but I am not expecting a reply. I asked mr.joybiswas, a member of IFG as he may be a supplier of national ARs from Kolkata. What I do, it is the only place where National ARs r sold in lucknow.

Good News
IHP and National air rifles are now available at didstributer rates at - Art Craft sales, 6-Rani Jhansi RD, N. Delhi, Ph-23530695. I bought a National 25( 0.177) yeaterday at Rs.3290/( 4% VAT & 2% discount included). The Office ladies were really sweet and they even allowed me to fire a few dozen shots from their backyard rooftop.
The rifles seemed good, only the triggers were too hard.
Enjoy

I'll keep googling for more.
The trigger for the Mod 25 is very hard, I suppose should be the same for the 35 as well.
Have you or anyone else done any R & D to improve the trigger...

Well... I would personally first try and have the trigger improved somewhat... Anyone have any diagrams of the "ball bearing" based s-stage Diana trigger? It might be an idea to have a similar unit fabricated for your IHP rifle...
Cheers!

Hi everyone!
I have recently purchased a National 25 air rifle (.177 cal). I've sent about 80 rounds through the barrel (an even mix of P10 and local roundhead ammo) and am having a feeling that the rifling has worn down or is coated with lead. The rifling marks (striations) on the pellets have become noticeably shallower. Any suggestions? the manual says to oil the bore after use. How frequently? And how to get rid of the residues? The manual says to wipe the bore with cotton waste. Will it do?
Furthur, will dry firing (without pellet) damage the rifle? And what is "dieselling"?
Can anyone tell me about the real world difference between the model 25 and 35 in terms of accuracy and range? I learnt of the latter's existence the day I bought mine.
Is it worthwhile to upgrade at a later stage?

hi friends.... im a newbie in target shooting. i need help to select a .17 ihp springer air rifle.i found out 2 springers of .17 cal in IHP web site.one is 25 model & another mod 35. tried mod25 &felt nice.but never got a chance to try a mod35,as it was not available currently in any neigbhouring gun dealers. in an article it is said that increased weight of a gun reduces recoil & increases accuracy.if so,can mod35 give good grouping than a mod25?? .pls reply me , then after only ican order a rifle, as presently no stock is present in nearby armoury

i have the 25 model .177.
grouping does not depend on model but on a lot of other aspects. (mainly pellet selection).
if you are going to use it only for competitions then i would recommend the mod 25 as it is lighter and easier to handle.
