Hello everybody
i will try to get the copy of the licence and post the relevant page. he uses the reloading clause to purchase caps (primers) meant for muzzle loaders and uses it in lieu of the used primers of his of 12 bore and handloads with blackpowder and hand cast lead shots. casting lead shots itself is a story. you make cowdung into a slurry and pour the mixture into a tall container. you melt lead obtained from old battery dealers and melt it in a iron container with fine holes, which in turn will fit just over the cow dung container. you heat the lead with a blow torch and tap the contianer so that the molten lead dribbles into the cow dung mixture. obviously the size and shape of the shot depends on the finess of the hole and the thickness of the slury. finally the lead collected in the slurry is washed in water and the shots are graded by rolling them in a flat winnow. the smell of the boiling/roasting cow dung is not for the faint hearted.

Re: reloading .315 ammo
I must confess I have not ever cast shot, but have cast plenty of other bullets.
Anyway, around here people use automotive anti-freeze instead of cow dung, or liquid laundry detergent.

Hello there
the trick is to make the slurry thick enough to retard the passage of molten lead, otherwise you will end with shots that are tailed. This trick i believe has been passed on by the nomadic Nari koravas who were professional hunters and now sadly dispossessed of their vocations.
