Improving the IHP 25 and 35 stock Trigger

Post by fantumfan2003 » Mon Mar 24, 2008 1:42 pm

Hi Abhijeet, Mack The Knife and all other gun experts.....

I found these links on the net

http://www.arld1.com/

http://www.arld1.com/tx200whole.html

http://www.arld1.com/tx200trigger.html

http://www.fortunecity.com/olympia/kick ... album.html

I have not seen a stripped 35 or 25 but looks like the it is possible to fabricate a replacement trigger assembly or improve the existing one.

I'd say lets use soneones existing Diana (not IHP) 35 or 25 or similar , see whats in their and try and replicate it.

I am willing to buy a 35 and let you guys use it for the R&D

Hello everyone,

Can some one point me to the link which showed pics of the Diana 25 and IHP stripped...I think it was Abhijeet or dev who put them ...can't remember...... Looked for it in the IHP Airgun section...didnt find it....

I am also requesting hunter to get me a Diana 35 trigger assembly. Can you please confirm the IHP 35 IS a copy of the Diana 35.

Thanks in advance....

This is not a diana (T05) Trigger assembly by Rekord trigger(HW) assembly.

This Chinese copy master BAM typically copy this trigger however they could not copy the 2nd stage pull.

Tirtha,

Thanks for the info.

Yes the link I have given is that of a copy of the Rekord trigger.

My question is are the trigger assemblies in the National 35 the same as the one in Diana 35 ?

The photo comparison of the IHP 25 and Diana 25 would answer the question.

BTW do you own the chinese copy, BAM ?

The IHP 35 and IHP 25 share the same type of direct sear trigger arrangement. The (1970's vintage) Diana 25 that I'd taken apart uses the same trigger design.

AFAIK the Diana 35 (which by the way is a discontinued model - currently comparable model is the 34), comes in two variations. One (single stage trigger) uses the same arrangement as above; the second variant (with 2 stage trigger) uses some sort of arrangement with 3 ball bearings to soften the trigger pull and make it a 2 stage trigger. From what I have read on the net the exact design of this type of trigger seems to have evolved over the past 30 or so years, but even the current design uses ball bearings to achieve the same effect.

As to looking up the thread comparing the Diana 25 and the IHP 25 - use the search function on the left hand side of the page - you are likely to find it under the gun care/ gun smithin' forum here.

Cheers!

This is the link

http://indiansforguns.com/viewtopic.php?t=1010

It deserves to be a sticky. Thank you for putting in the effort Abhijeet.

Any possibilities of taking close up pictures of the trigger assemblies (and parts if possible) of both the models ?

If not, then can anyone in Mumbai who owns Diana's and IHP help me in taking the required pictures ? I have the macro photography equipment to take the pictures.

Friends please help.

Thanks

Need help from Airgun Experts

Post by fantumfan2003 » Fri Mar 28, 2008 8:33 pm

I have collected some diagrams from the web of the trigger assembly and its parts for various Diana models, namely models 25, 24, 35 and 34.

Can some one with more knowledge and experience of Airguns give me guidance on improving the trigger of the IHP 25/35.

Thanks

Fantum, what's wrong with the trigger on your national? Is there a lot of creep?

Hi GRG,

I got a chance to try a National 25 and a IHP Pneumatic at a local range in Mumbai. I found the 25 trigger to be very hard. Hence I am exploring possibilities of making the trigger better. One of the options is to mate a Diana 25 trigger assembly to a IHP 25/35.

Hi Manish,

I don't own any diana. Having keen interest on airgun safety and therefore the trigger. None of the airgun I found manufactured in india (So far I have stripped down 13 different make Air gun) having good trigger mechanism. Every one of them used very small 2nd lever. Whereas if you see the Rekord trigger, they have applied long 2nd lever.

IHP is using copy of T01 trigger. It is indeed very easy to replace IHP trigger with diana one but you have to spend around $76. Doesnot seems to be worth spending so much.

Thanks,

Tirtha

Hi Sniper,

Lets continue here with the trigger thread....
Hunter has agreed to carry for me a Diana 45 trigger assembly.
Will this fit on the IHP35 ?

Hi FF,
I have no idea if it will fit for the IHP 35. I have a ihp 25 model. and i havent tried that too (honestly).
I shall have a look at it this weekend and then we shall get a fair idea of it.
