Classical Quiz.

Post by Mack The Knife » Fri Sep 29, 2006 3:03 pm

Identify the person in the pic and what is the history behind that pic.

No Googling or any of that smarty-pants computer wizardry.

This quiz is not open to AR members - now watch the number of hits on AR increase.

Winner gets a free spinner target.

Play fair.

Well done, Inder!

You get the spinner when you come to pick up Mark's knife.

Very interesting information..

Any idea how many shots she took, just curious.

One. It was a very lucky shot, so don't go trying to down grizzlies with a .22lr.

If you Google Bella Twin, you may find the story somewhere.

You`re all wrong - the lady pictured is my great grandma and the `rifle` is a pop gun. The bear choked to death when the cork she fired stuck up its` right nostril.

Just curious. Did she pose for the pic before the shot? :-) or is the Girzzly propped up?

Cheers

The bearskin was turned into a fur coat for great grandpa - he was a BIG feller. The picture is taken in the wardrobe where the coat was hanging. The bear isn`t actually quite as big as it looks - great grandma lost her legs when attacked by an enraged Chipmunk who objected to her taking pot shots at it with her pop gun........Dangerous beasts Chipmunks.

Monish I`m afraid that I haven`t heard of Chipmunk stew - Mark would be the person to ask. I know that Squirrels are eaten in some parts of the US and see little reason why Chipmunks shouldn`t be eaten as well.

You'd have to be pretty hungry, as chipmunks are quite small!

But since you asked, here is the traditional way to prepare small animals like this - skin animal and discard feet, etc. Let the animal dry on some rocks for a few days. (take them in at night and cover them so they continue to dry) When they are dried, pound them between 2 stones to pulverise everything and then put into soup pot.

Now if you want squirrel recipes let me know, those guys are actually big enough to eat!
