Is hunting realy prohibited in India?

is hunting realy prohibited? i am asking this as i saw writing on kf .22 cartridge for general hunting purpose.i want to show the photo but not able to upload as space restriction

Legally YES. except in cases where the govt announces that the animals (depends) are pests and can be controlled. happens a lot in UP for the bluebulls and wild boars. in fact i have an old paper cutting of it somewhere.

Yes, hunting is as good as banned in India.

You can shoot certain animals that pose a great threat to your crop, provided you get the necessary permission from the concerned wildlife authority. The carcass has to be surrendered to said authority.

You can also hunt those animals that have turned man eaters or man killers. However, you cannot just go out and do this but need to be invited by the concerned authority to do so.

By vermin i was referring to a recent post mentioning common crow, rats and bandicoots being certified as vermin while feral piegons not being in the list.

Now thats an accurate de.scription of my neighbour for me. Oranges for you and more for others!

now oranges that a differnt matter, you could kill oranges by squeezeing it, cuting it, peeling it. killing orange best done cold, yap i will have a glass of orange freshly squessed pliss.

Mack The Knife was refering an old discussion we had once about how I used to use catapults, airguns to mutilate oranges in my native village..

it is a natural target.. not too light.. not too heavy.. and can take quite a lot of beating before having to retire....

i remember once we retrived 9 pellets from a small 2" dia orange...its a natural pellet catcher... LOL

On my last visit to the village, I shot a pomegranate using the TX 200, the damn thing exploded! And this when I'm still using the (UK legal) 12 ftlb. spring!!
